My heart breaks for Stacy, his amazing mother, who loves him so very deeply, two beautiful sisters Amiela and Ainsley and father Craig. He was such a sweet, kind young man and wonderful musician. I remember in 2016 when he and his dad selflessly helped me move and hook up my w/d. I know he is making music in heaven and watching over his entire family. You were and will always be loved and forever missed. I pray for strength, healing and peace for everyone.

We are so shocked and saddened to hear of Alex‘s passing. Mitchell and I remember the fun trip the Edgewood Band took to New York when Craig and I were chaperones on that bus trip driving all the way from Merritt Island, Florida to New York City for the band to perform. It was a great time for the kids and the chaperones! Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Sincere condolences from Mitchell, Ellen and Dave Brown

The Calero Family is saddened by the news of Alex's passing. It is with a heavy heart that we share in the grief of our friend Craig along with Alex's sisters, Amelia and Ainsley, whom we saw and interacted many times at basketball practice at Edgewood Jr./Sr. High School along with Alex who graciously volunteered his time to help the team film the games and keep score. I know the Dumas family is extremely proud of Alex's accomplishments during his life but we feel some comfort in knowing this was God's plan all along and while difficult to comprehend, He has a reason for this. Craig, Amelia, Ainsley, please know the Calero Family is with you during this trying time.

Sending our heartfelt hugs and prayers to the family in this tough time of Alex's passing. We had the pleasure of knowing Alex through the Edgewood Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble when our daughter Zoe had the privilege of playing music alongside Alex. Alex was always a considerate and compassionate young man and will be sorely missed.
Condolences,
Libby, Jim, and Zoe VanZino

Our family is so heartbroken about the passing of Alex. What an outstanding young man. One of the great memories we have of Alex was his voice behind the camera recording Edgewood girl’s basketball games. Desperate to have volunteers to record the games for us, Alex always stepped up and did a wonderful job. But the precious jewel he would leave behind was his commentary during the games. Many times, his dad would text wondering if we had watched and listened to the recording of the game. Craig was cracking up at Alex’s funny comments such as “do it”, “oooooohhhhhhh”, “what a box out”, “and she gets it”, “oh my GAWD” and many more. Craig was so proud of Alex and the man he became and always spoke so glowingly about him. Those game recordings are precious memories we will always have of Alex and are so indicative of the kind, humorous man he was. Our hearts go out to Alex’s entire family.
