I met Al when I was the director (then tuba player) with The Downriver Community Band. We were reunited at CTK in the Brass Ensemble. He always called me 'Uncle' Larry. R.I.P., Big Al! I know you are in Heaven!
I attended many Bible study classes several years ago with Al at the Lincoln Park Church of Christ. He was a very good listener when we shared conversations and he had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved God and was always immersing himself in God's word. He will truly be missed.
My condolences to the Petrovich family, Al and I would have a cup of coffee in the D building loaders office. I knew Al for a long time. Al will be missed.
Alex belonged to the Church of Christ. When he was first baptized into Christ we used to run around some. Later on we went our own ways, he went into the Air Force. His final resting place will be at Ferndale Cemetary in Riverview where my parents are buried. The people that own the cemetary are members of the Church of Christ.
