Obituary of Vi Clark

Viola June “Vi” Clark, age 89, of Dundee, passed away at her home on Thursday evening, August 18, 2022 under the care of the Hospice of Lenawee and surrounded by her loving family.  Her passing was preceded by her parents Loyd and Cecil Rigel, her sister Joyce, her brothers Donald, Raymond, and Jake, her son Larry, her daughter Val, her son-in-law Bruce, and her grandson Jason. 

Cherishing her memory, she leaves her loving husband of sixty-nine years, Lavern Clark, son Terry (Amelia), son Tom (Terri), son Scott (Ken), daughter Julie (Mike), her brother Rich (Marlene), twelve grandchildren, two of which she helped deliver at home, and great grandchild Tyler. 

Vi enjoyed traveling with family, playing card games, and playing video poker in the casinos. She loved to cook for family and friends, and made several favorites including her potato salad, German chocolate cake, and Christmas cookies. She worked for many years at Monroe Bank & Trust, and especially enjoyed her years as a bus aid for special-needs children with her best friend Evelyn Oberly. Vi was known for having a big heart and helping those in need. 

Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a future date.  Her care has been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, Dundee; 297 Tecumseh Street; Dundee, Michigan 48131 (734) 5293156.
