Obituary of Travis Taylor

Travis Dean Taylor was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 16, 1996. He was born from the union of the late Robin Dean Taylor and Susan (Cote) Taylor. Travis loved his sister and his mother, and family was of great importance to him. Travis was always there to help others in need, and could always make people smile when they were down and out. He was known to have a "goofy" personality, and he was funny and intelligent. Travis was very athletic and enjoyed body building. Because he liked anything with a motor, Travis was always working on and rebuilding cars and lawnmowers. He was also an avid woodcrafter. Travis Dean Taylor age 17, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. In addition to his father, his passing was preceded by grandparents: Arthur L. and Lorraine Cote; grandmother: Ella Mae Taylor; and uncles: Tim Taylor and Jeff Taylor. To cherish his memory he leaves his beloved mother: Susan Taylor of Erie; sister: Tiffany Taylor (James Runles) of Monroe; grandfather: Gerald Taylor of Toledo; aunts and uncles: Tami (Rick) Lewandowski and family, and George (Lori) Taylor all of Toledo; Arthur J. Cote III (Laura Becker), David (Ann) Lawson and Sharon (Alan) McKee all of Monroe; cousin: Robin and Kevin McKee; and a family friend: Jerry Crummel of Erie. Friends may gather from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm, Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe, 14567 S. Dixie Highway, (734) 241-7070. A Celebration of His Life will follow at 6:30 pm, also at Merkle's with Pastor Roy Southerland of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Cremation has taken place through Southern Michigan Services in Livonia, Michigan. Memorial donations are suggested to the Taylor Family to assist with funeral expenses.
