When Linda and I moved into Golf Ridge, Ron and Joy were the first to welcome us.They and their entire family are valued members of our wonderful community. Ron's battle was a courageous one. We are saddened by his passing, but comforted by the fact that he left us in the bosom of his devoted family. He will be sorely missed.

When Ronald and his sisters were in school, and I was in high school, I would watch them while their parents worked afternoons. When they were old enough to stay by themselves, they would call my Mom, Marie Segaert, to pick them up when it stormed and they were scared. I think they sacked out in the living room until their Mom picked them up after she got home. They always left a note for their mom, that my Mom had picked them up. We lived a a half country block away. Karen (Segaert) LaVoy

Prayers and condolences to family and friends. Ron was a stand-up guy and made the lives of those around him better. I was lucky to serve with him as a BSA Ranger. His memory will live on for a long long time.

My sincere condolences to the family. My late brother Tim and I were friends with Ron. We went to Dundee High together (I graduated in ‘84, Tim ‘86). I have good memories of hanging out with Ron prior to our departures to the military (Ron: Army, me: AF). Prior to the military, Ron had a Chevette that had suspension damage after hitting a curb. On our way to Tony Paco’s in Toledo, we were on the freeway and that thing shook so violently we were actually laughing and checking the mirrors for parts that may fall off!! It was a riot spending time with Ron esp while we tried to get as much fun in as possible in the weeks before basic training. Ron is a good guy and will be missed.
