Obituary of Nancy Kay Robinson
Nancy Kay Hoffman was born on January 9, 1948 in Wyandotte, Michigan. She was one of four children born to Frank and Ella (Hoagland) Hoffman. Nancy graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte with the Class of 1966. On August 27, 1966 she wed Roy E. Robinson Jr. at Bethel Baptist Church in Southgate, Michigan. The couple was blessed with two children, and as a dedicated homemaker, Nancy devoted her life to caring for the family.
A humble servant of Jesus Christ, Nancy, regularly read her Bible and completed daily devotionals. She enjoyed the challenge of playing crossword puzzles, solitaire, and paint-by-numbers games on her tablet. As a young woman Nancy and Roy enjoyed entertaining family and friends. A talented painter, she made beautiful wood crafts including bird houses and figurines. Nancy also created paintings on cloth using Artex craft kits. For many years she cultivated a flower garden including maintaining her favorite rose bushes.
Nancy had a soft spot in her heart for animals and cherished the feline friends she took in over the years. A quiet and graceful woman, she was a wonderful mother who always found the right words to comfort her family in any situation. She dispensed great advice and was able to see things from a new perspective. It brought Nancy great joy to hear about her grandchildren’s latest endeavors.
