Merrill Dickerson

Obituary of Merrill Schane McKinley Dickerson

Merrill Schane McKinley Dickerson was born on September 20, 1974, in Monroe, Michigan from the union of Melvin Pree and Ella Dickerson.  He attended Monroe Public Schools and SMCC, later earning his GED.   As a youngster, Mel was very active in sports.  He also enjoyed playing pick-up games with his siblings and the neighborhood children.

Mel, also known as Stones, had a great sense of humor and was known for cracking jokes being the life of the party.  Often times others were entertained by his rapping abilities. Mel seemed to love everyone and always had a smile on his face.  He never met a stranger, and in fact struck up conversations with anyone he could. He was especially fond of the time he spent with his family and friends. An avid Michigan State Spartan and Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he proudly cheered on his favorite teams.

In the past, Mel was employed at Red Lobster, Complete Packaging and Cracker Barrell.
