Obituary of Julie Marie Stiffler
Julie Marie Reinhardt was born on February 10, 1962, in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of two daughters born from the union of Daniel and Carolyn (Welker) Reinhardt. Julie attended Jefferson Schools graduating with the Class of 1980.
After a ten-year courtship, Julie decided it was time to marry the love of her life, William Stiffler. They were joined in marriage on August 17, 2001. The happy couple was blessed with the birth of two sons. For thirty years, Julie, was employed at the Big Boy Restaurant in Monroe working in many different capacities from server to manager.
Julie loved to be outdoors. No matter what the activity, she appreciated the fresh air. She and Bill enjoyed camping often visiting the KOA in Petersburg, Michigan to pitch a tent. Each Spring, Julie looked forward to visiting Northern Michigan or Sherwood Park in Belleville to hunt for Morell Mushrooms. The dynamic duo could also be seen tossing a line off their boat into the waters of Lake Erie on many occasions. In some instances, the two made a visit to the infamous Dog Lady Island. Julie appreciated the opportunity to challenge her skills by playing darts or calling her shots in a game of billiards.
Above anything, Julie loved her family. She treasured all the time that she could spend with them. She was especially thankful for her special, sister-like relationship with her best friend since her young school days, Chris Webb of Tennessee.
Julie Marie Stiffler, age 60, of Carleton passed away peacefully on Thursday; April 21, 2022, at her home. Her passing was preceded by her parents.
To cherish her memory, she leaves a beloved husband: William; two sons: Thomas Reinhardt and Michael Stiffler (Amanda White); one sister: Shelly White; and two grandchildren: Naomi and Lincoln.
Friends may gather on Sunday; April 24, 2022, from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 3:00pm also at Merkles with Pastor Kevin Spencer officiating. Cremation will take place through Covenant Cremation of Erie.
