Obituary of Karen Lynn Sell
Karen Lynn Polk was born on December 11, 1964, in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of three children born from the union of Robert Polk and Lorene (Johnson) Polk. Karen would attend Jefferson Schools graduating high school with the class of 1983. She would later further her education by taking courses at Monroe County Community College.
On August 24, 1996, Karen married the love of her life, Eric Sell. The couple had a special relationship and loved to travel together, they especially enjoyed cruises with their favorite destinations being the Caribbean or Mexico. In the early years of marriage, Karen and Eric, traveled the NASCAR circuit enjoying the excitement of the roaring crowds and the smell of burning rubber around the track. Karen also attended any Rock and Roll concert she could, with either her siblings or husband in tow.
Karen was an avid watcher of the Food Network Channel. She was never afraid to experiment with preparing new dishes for her family to enjoy. In fact, she would create many meals from her mom’s recipes that were handed down to her. Her family looked forward each year to Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers, knowing that the food would be amazing, especially her home-made stuffing. When Karen had time to relax, she vegged on the couch to re-runs of Friends, the Big Bang Theory, or even a good mystery shows on the Investigation Discovery (ID) Channel.
For many years Karen suffered from declining health. Throughout this time, Karen was very grateful to her friends and family for their continued love and support for her and her family.
