Obituary of Robin Renee Kahlaoui

Robin was given the gift of life on June 6,1961 and entered her eternal life on Friday, March 11, 2022.  Robin spoke of her desire to live a long life, devoted to caring for family and friends, but our savior had other plans for her beautiful soul. She is now at a peace like she’s never known and will continue on with God’s plan from above.

Robin is survived by her devoted and loyal husband of 20 years, Mondher “Clyde” Kahlaoui who enjoyed spoiling her with trips out of town, to the casino, to comedy, dinner & a movie, and also adored spending quality time at home, simply being in her presence.

Her spirit is also carried on by her children with Maurice Brown, daughter Kwoneisha Miller and son Maurice “Cezarie” Miller each of Toledo, Ohio, her brothers Keelan Miller and Ernest “Val” and Tracy Miller, her nieces and nephews, who knew her best as “TT”, that she adored and cared for as her own Saige, Isaiah, Raynelyn, Damarian, Josef, Brandi, and Dayvonna, as well as a host of extended family and friends from every walk of life.

She was proceeded in death by her mother Peacola Miller, father Robert Miller and sister Shawna Miller.

Robin was a proud member of her faith through Praise and Deliverance Tabernacle. She also participated in community organizations such as the VFW and the YMCA.

Robin enjoyed spending time with family and friends whether traveling or entertaining from home, where she would fry up some of the best catfish to ever melt in your mouth and spaghetti that gave a whole new meaning to pasta- and don’t even get us started on her cabbage that would have our mouths watering.  Robin lived to care for and do for others.  Her hands were always reaching out to pull others in with arms wide open. She would dig out the last coins in her purse and take the shirt off her back to provide to others in need. Robin was a bit of a shop-a-holic. She was so excited when her daughter Neisha was born to have someone to tag along on her shopping sprees. Robin had to have a house with extra bedrooms to store not only her children, but the massive amounts of clothing, accessories, smell goods, lip gloss, and purses for days- most of which still had the tags on them.  While she loved all these things her purpose in having them was to give them away. One of her greatest joys was to give gifts like these to her loved ones. She longed for road trips to visit with family and friends and to visit some of the worlds wonders such as the Grand Canyon, the Smokey Mountains-to step foot in the Great Lakes and to cruise across the oceans feeling free with the sea breeze brushing across her face.  Robin was always up for an adventure, full of excitement as long as it meant being with those she loved, whether it be hiking through woods or up and down the mountain sides, the whole time fretting about the snakes, bears, spiders, & all sorts of bugs that might be seen along the way while asking how much further with every step and is there somewhere to sit, or holding on tight to the roller coaster with her eyes squeezed shut yelling out a mix of prayers and other phrases that aren’t typically spoken with prayer, or toughing it through haunted houses promising to “mess up” the scary figures coming her way if they got any closer-the whole time ripping chunks of skin off the arms of whoever dared to walk next to her. She loved going to her children’s, nieces and nephews sporting events and taking them to football, basketball, baseball, and Yes- even hockey games, picnics, fairs, parades, you name it- if you asked her to join you, she was there, whether she actually enjoyed the activity or not, you would never know because she had an uncanny knack to turn it into a great time filled with laughter, sensational storytelling and great memories to last us a lifetime.

Her desire to care for others drove her ambition her to become an STNA; however, her training sessions nearly came to an end before they even began. When she was informed that her long nails had to go, she nearly went too!!  Thankfully, she continued with her career path as this provided us with countless moments of entertainment. She had a way of bringing her work experiences to life when telling about them as if we were right there with her. Looking back, they probably weren’t really funny situations, but the way she told them always had us rolling.

Robin would want her beloved family and friends to know how precious and treasured each of you were to her. Knowing and loving you all was the success story of her life. She will wait patiently to meet up with you again one day, joyfully with arms wide open, on the other side.  Until then, she will continue watch over us as she sings in the angels’ choir and dances through the sky.  She would want us to push through each day knowing we had been and always will be loved by her.

Friends may gather on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm and Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 12:00pm until the time of Her Homegoing Celebration of Life at 1:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe; 14567 South Dixie Highway, Monroe, Michigan 48161 (734) 241-7070.   Pastor Teresa Haynes to officiate.   Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle for burial.
