Lloyd May Jr.

Obituary of Lloyd Francis May Jr.

Lloyd Francis May Jr. was born on April 17, 1966 in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of two children and the only son born to the union of Lloyd Francis and Sharon Marie (Weller) May. Lloyd graduated from Jefferson High School with the Class of 1985. He was employed at Ford Motor Company’s Wayne Assembly Plant for more than twenty years before retiring in 2011.

Upon retirement Lloyd moved to his family’s forty-acre property in Marion, Michigan where he truly felt at home. He shared his land with a menagerie of ducks, chickens, goats, and many dogs whom he adored. Lloyd enjoyed hunting deer and small game on his property and fishing on the surrounding lakes, including ice fishing during the winter months. He shared this love of fishing with his grandchildren. What others might consider junk, Lloyd viewed as treasure. He frequently attended auctions in search of tractors, farm equipment, and anything interesting that caught his eye. He enjoyed tinkering with his purchases and bringing them new life.   During his lifetime, Lloyd, attended nearly every tractor pull held at the Monroe County Fair.

Lloyd was a genuine person who valued his family and long-lasting friendships more than anything else. The strong convictions he held stemmed from an honest heart and his protective nature from a deeply caring soul.
