Obituary of Victoria Lynn Bellows
Victoria Lynn Burchnell was born on August 15, 1953, in Columbus, Ohio. She was one of two beautiful daughters born from the union of Richard Allan and Jean Alberta (Hustead) Burchnell. Victoria attended Brookhaven High School in Columbus, Ohio where she graduated with the class of 1973.
Vickie had many varied interests to occupy her time. Her true passion, however, was crocheting and she was a proud member of the Happy Hookers Club at the Frenchtown Senior Center. She loved to bowl and participated in the Seniors mixed bowling league. She also enjoyed riding her bike, writing poems, and completing word find puzzles. Vickie was a member of the Riverview Community of Christ Church in Riverview, Michigan. She had a kind spirit and a beautiful heart. She was best described by her own mother as a person that never met a stranger, and everyone was a friend. For the past twelve years, Vickie, was employed in the distribution center for the Monroe Evening News.
Victoria “Vickie” Lynn Bellows, age 68 of Monroe, Michigan passed away at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital on Friday; March 4, 2022. Her passing was preceded by her former husband: Howard T. Bellows; her sister: Jo Ellen Short; and her stepfather: Walter Moore.
To cherish Vickie’s memory, she leaves her two daughters: Naomi Bellows of Columbus, Ohio and Danielle (Ricky) Wells, Jr. of Owosso, Michigan; her mother: Jean A. Moore of Monroe, Michigan; a stepbrother: Walter Moore Jr.; and her three precious grandchildren: Alicia Fawcett, Rocky Wells and Zayde Wells.
Friends may gather on Thursday; March 10, 2022, from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe, 2442 North Monroe Street Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Vickie’s Life will begin at 3:00pm also at Merkle’s with Pastor Robert Porter of the Community of Christ Church in Riverview, Michigan officiating. Cremation has taken place through Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan.
