Obituary of Mary Jane Lott
Mary Jane Jones was born on November 5, 1964 in Romulus, Michigan to Betty (Johnson) Littler. Jane graduated from Huron High School in New Boston, Michigan with the Class of 1982. She was employed in the mortgage industry for Quicken Loans performing banker license verifications. She then spent ten years as a customer service representative for Comcast. Jane first crossed paths with her future spouse at the age of eighteen. On December 1, 1990 she wed Shirley Eugene Lott Jr. at Riverview Church of God in Riverview, Michigan. The couple was blessed with thirty-one years of marriage. Jane and Gene were seemingly joined at the hip. Always a supportive spouse no matter the challenge, Gene could not have asked for more in a life partner.
Jane absolutely loved shopping and never passed up a cute purse or pair of shoes. She also frequented antique stores in search of treasures. A self-described “foodie”, Jane had a deep appreciation for a good meal and enjoyed introducing others to new dishes. She liked to express her creativity through painting and crafting. A swimmer, Jane spent her summers visiting Lake Erie Metro Park and taking dips in her sister’s pool. However, she was always on the lookout for snakes as she had a great fear of them.
Jane was happy-go-lucky all the time and lifted the spirits of those around her. Her loving and caring nature made her an amazing mother. Jane had the biggest, kindest heart and would give anyone the shirt off her back. She often enjoyed volunteering her time at Golden Harvest in Plymouth, Michigan.
