Obituary of Linda Dale Johnson

Linda Dale Britt was born on August 14, 1946 in Johnson City, Tennessee.   She was the daughter of Monte Britt and Ida (Dunn) Flores.   Linda attended Adrian High School and later obtained her GED from Jefferson High School.   On April 6, 1973 she wed Carlos Johnson in Adrian, Michigan. They enjoyed thirty years of marriage before his passing on November 11, 2003. Linda was employed at Jefferson Public Schools, most recently as a custodian for thirty-five years before retiring in 2007. She also proudly held the position as union secretary-president and organizer for the school system.

Linda was member of the Moose Lodge in Monroe and volunteered her time to care for hospice patients. She enjoyed trying her luck on lottery tickets, at the bingo hall, and on the slots at the casino. She also made many virtual friends playing the online game Poker Stars. For many years Linda traveled to Gladwin, Michigan to stay at their family cabin and visit the antique stores and Amish owned shops in the area. An animal lover, she enjoyed bird watching and always had a pet dog. The “Chicken Soup of the Soul” book series was her favorite read. A very outgoing person, Linda loved to be around people and had a wonderful sense of humor.
