Obituary of Donald "Don" Lee Trouten
Donald “Don” Lee Trouten was born on November 8, 1960, in Monroe, Michigan. He is one of five children born from the union of William Trouten Jr. and Rosie (Douglas) Maynard. Don would attend Monroe High School. He would gain employment with a few cleaning companies as a maintenance worker who specialized in general cleaning duties during his occupation.
Don liked fishing and catching anything that was biting that day, especially when he could drop a line at his favorite spots of Lake Erie and the River Raisin. He really enjoyed hanging out with friends, especially at his cousin, Allan’s house where he would typically meet up to shoot a friendly game of pool.
Donald “Don” Lee Trouten, age 61, of Monroe, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 22, 2022. His preceding was preceded by his parents, his stepfather Bud Maynard, stepmother Beulah Trouten, his paternal grandparents William and Ruth Trouten, his maternal grandparents Clarence and nannie Douglas, his sister Beth Ann Leach, and his brother Clarence Jeffery Trouten, and two nieces Stacey Leach and Victoria Leach.
To cherish his memory, he leaves his sisters: Brenda Maynard; Lynette (Bryan) Maurice; Audrey Casto; Joy Maynard, stepsisters: Jean Maynard; Kris Friar; Kathy (Greg) Wolff; Cheryl (Stan) Kolebuck; Gayla (John) Badger, brothers: William (Sally) Trouten; Rick (Bobbi) Trouten; Kim Friar, special friend: Sheri Torres, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may gather on Thursday January 27, 2022, from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe; 14567 South Dixie Highway, Monroe, Michigan 48161 (734) 241-7070. A Worship Service Celebrating Don’s Life, led by Pastor BJ McDaniel, will be held on Thursday January 27, 2022, at 5:00 pm also at Merkle’s.
