Wendy Cain

Obituary of Wendy Louise Cain

Wendy Louise Casselring was born on October 8, 1957 in Pennsauken, New Jersey. She was one of four children born to Walter George and Elizabeth Lilly (Zimmerman) Casselring. Wendy was a 1975 graduate of Pennsauken High School. She furthered her education at Eastern Michigan University and Wayne County Community College, earning an Associate’s Degree. In addition to being a nanny to her grandchildren, Wendy had been employed by Master’s Touch Cleaning Service for four years and as a secretary at Douglas Driving Academy for three years.

Wendy was very health conscience and an advocate of homeopathic healing. A wonderful cook, she enjoyed shopping for organic ingredients and vitamin supplements. Wendy had a great appreciation for the outdoors and thrived in nature. She was just as content camping overnight in a tent as “glamping” in style in her daughter’s fifth wheel. Wendy loved to clean and kept her customer’s homes immaculate. She was very mechanically inclined could seemingly fix anything. Although Wendy may have arrived late (as usual!), she never missed her grandchildren’s sporting events. She also enjoyed playing board games and putt-putt golf alongside them.

A woman of faith, Wendy loved Jesus with her whole heart. She was a member of Christ Family Church in Brownstown Township, Michigan. Wendy frequently read her Bible and other Christian books. A music lover, she enjoyed contemporary Christian artists and worship hymns. Wendy recently received her minister’s license through I Am Church in Rockwood, Michigan where she frequently attended services. She was sensitive to souls in need and freely shared her faith with others.
