Robert Parriet

Obituary of Robert Parriet

Robert Parriet was born on September 12, 1945, in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of thirteen children born from the union of Calvin and Lovetta (Proffit) Parriet. Robert would be educated in the Monroe Public School System and for many years he would run Bob’s Auto Detailing where he would spend much of his time.

As a young man, Bob was very active with the Monroe Sports Center where he would participate in bowling.   On many occasions, he would even assist in cleaning the bowling alley.  Bob loved to be challenged in a friendly game or two of Euchre. He seemed to be victorious no matter who he played against, mostly because he wasn’t afraid to cheat.  Bob was addicted to the thrill of scratch off tickets, and he took his chances quite often.  He was an avid fan of watching WWE and was not happy when he had to miss it.

Equipped with a great sense of humor, Bob, was always looking to pull a prank or to tell a joke. He was famous for telling his waitress there was a hole in his cup because he drank his coffee quicker than the server could fill up his mug. His favorite restaurant to frequent was the Golden Corral where he could eat just about anything he was in the mood for that day. Bob was also known to be difficult at times, but his family knew this was just all part of his charm.

Above anything, Bob treasured the time he would spend with his grandchildren. He especially enjoyed spoiling them by taking them to the corner gas station for snacks and treats, usually just before they were ready to eat dinner.
