Obituary of Darlene Kay Rhoton
Darlene Barnier was born June 10, 1954, in Saline, Michigan. She was the daughter of Francis and Mary (Aston) Barnier. Darlene would seek employment from the Ford Motor Company and would continue the role of a laborer until she retired.
Above anything, Darlene treasured her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren as they were her entire world. She loved them unconditionally and since the word “no” was not a part of her vocabulary, she provided them with all their wants. Because Darlene was family extremely oriented, she strived to keep them all together and was the glue to make that happen. Her presence played an essential role in the lives of her family members, and she will be dearly missed.
Gifted with a great sense of humor, Darlene attempted to keep things lighthearted and enjoyed being the center of attention. She embraced life and all it had to hold. Darlene was an amazing cook and her guests looked forward to whatever fine cuisine she had prepared.
Darlene Rhoton, age 67, of Newport, Michigan passed away peacefully at Evangelical Home of Saline on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Her passing was preceded by both her parents; four siblings; and one grandson: Craig Anthony Weisbecker.
To cherish her memory, she leaves her daughter: Tammy (Ron) Weisbecker; son: Andrew (Johanna) Basil; five siblings: Burle Barnier, Mary Lamkin, Betty Norris, Ester Secor and Ina Daugherty; grandchildren: Charles (Rochelle) Weisbecker, Heather (Sean) Govan, Jessica Weisbecker, Matthew Weisbecker, and Alli Basil; great-grandchildren: Wyatt Staelgraeve, Hadley Trudeau, Hensley Weisbecker, Jax Govan and Huxston Weisbecker.
