James Marsh

Obituary of James Michael Marsh

James Michael Marsh was born on August 8, 1970, at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan.   He was the only child born from the union of James Harold and Barbara Jean (Baker) Marsh.   James graduated from Airport High School with the class of 1988.   He then attended Henry Ford Community College.

James married the former, Christine Cicero, in 1996.   The couple would be blessed with the birth of two daughters:  Haleigh and Kelcie.   James worked for more than thirty years in construction trades.   He had been employed by Sieb Plumbing and Heating and American Heating and Cooling.   James was extremely intelligent earning his Journeyman HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Certification.   During the latter part of his career, he was proudly employed by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 671 in Monroe.   James was very generous with his knowledge always willing to drop everything to help someone in need, often using his acquired skills.

A proud proponent of his Second Amendment rights, James, and was a member of the NRA (National Rifle Association).  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid firearm collector.   He loved his Harley Davidson Motorcycle although he wasn’t the best operator.   He enjoyed the company of friends and his Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila and Budweiser.

James had a great sense of humor and enjoyed being a prankster.   His stubbornness was part of his charm, and he had a true understanding of the difference between right and wrong, even though he rarely conformed to social norms.   James was sure to stay true to himself regardless of what others thought.   He was the best father, willing to go to any extreme to protect his girls.   Sometimes his words could be critical or abrasive, but his daughters knew it was all done in love to prepare them for the world.   He was actively involved in all parts of their lives from sports to cars, to school.

James Michael Marsh, age 51, of Monroe passed away peacefully at his home under the care of Elara Caring Hospice on Wednesday; October 27, 2021 at 3:50pm.
