Obituary of Kendal C Martin
Kendal C. Martin was born on February 2, 1978, in Monroe, Michigan. She was the daughter born from the union of Kenneth and Patricia (Bean) Martin. Kendal would attend and graduate from Jefferson High School with the class of 1996. Known for beauty in and out, Kendal, would in fact, be crowned the Homecoming Queen in 1995.
The simplest things made her happy, family, holidays, long walks at the mall, and hearing from her children, Mariah, Amiya, Chase, Daisy and Preston. You know, she wasn’t always the easiest to find, but when you did, she had the biggest smile on her face, and she talked like no time had passed. Mariah and Amiya enjoyed taking Kendal out for her birthday dinner at Red Lobster, she loved the ultimate feast. “Mmm crab legs” she would exclaim, always embarrassing us but we loved to see her smile.
She always wanted her friends gathered around her whether it be a party or her favorite, Sunday morning church, at the House of Prayer, she knew how to have a good time. It was a task to get a serious photo of Kendal as she was constantly making goofy faces. Kendal didn’t think much of worldly possessions it was often stated, even if she only had a twenty-dollar bill in her pocket, that she was rich beyond measure.
Kendal C. Martin, age 43, of Monroe, passed away at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital on Tuesday; October 19, 2021 after a valiant fifteen-year battle with Huntington’s Disease. She was proceeded in death by her parents and brothers William and Kenneth.
