Joyce Martin

Obituary of Joyce Kate Martin

Joyce Kate Ennett was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan on April 12, 1949. At a young age she was adopted by Maria Ennett after the untimely passing of her biological parents. After graduating from high school, Joyce continued her education at Wayne County Community College where she earned an Associate’s degree. Joyce was joined in marriage to Willie Richard Martin and the couple were blessed with two daughters.

Joyce was a diligent worker and set a fine example for her girls. She kept her home immaculately clean. Joyce was also a fabulous cook. Her family always looked forward to tasting her peach cobbler and turkey dressing. She was very creative and loved to draw. Joyce also enjoyed relaxing in front of the television to take in her favorite programs but was otherwise very active.

Joyce had a special relationship with her granddaughters. She would get down on the floor to play Barbie’s with her granddaughter, Madison, and run around the yard with her dog. The pair often walked the store together to buy candy and her favorite soda, Pepsi. Although she loved her sweets and salty snacks, Joyce took good care of her health and kept fit by jogging frequently. She enjoyed shopping for clothing, shoes and accessories and never left home without flawlessly applied makeup to compliment her outfit.
