Obituary of Danielle Nicole Coleman

Danielle Nicole Chaffins was born on December 29, 1985 in Monroe, Michigan.   She was the daughter of Brian Chaffins and Lisa (Kienath) Nichols.   Danielle attended Britton-Deerfield schools where she graduated with the class of 2004.  

She would be blessed with the birth of three sons, and her boys were her world.   Danielle especially loved fishing and camping, spending countless hours at the state park in Chelsea, Michigan.   She was quite popular amongst her own children for her ability to prepare her grandmother’s meatloaf recipe and tater-tot casserole.   Danielle married the love of her life, Leo Coleman, on June 26, 2015 in Toledo Ohio.

Danielle enjoyed watching the shows “Supernatural” and “Charmed” with her mom.   When they couldn’t be together in person they would still follow along over the phone.    

Danielle was a familiar face in the Dundee community.   She had been employed in customer service for several local companies.   She had worked for five years at Kroger and had also spent time at Dollar General and Perky Pantry.   Most recently she took a position behind the front desk at the Quality Inn.

Although, Danielle, typically had a quiet disposition, she was quite outgoing and bubbly once she was comfortable in her surroundings.   She had a beautiful, caring heart and would do anything for anyone.   Danielle was especially loving to her own younger sisters and brothers and her nieces and nephews.  

Danielle Nicole Coleman, age 35, of Dundee passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday; July 26, 2021.   Her passing was preceded by her maternal grandparents:  Jim and Alice Keinath.

To cherish her memory Danielle leaves her beloved husband:  Leonard Coleman; three sons:  Cole, Josh, and Mason Gibbs; her mother:  Lisa (Keinath) Nichols; father: Brian Chaffins; three sisters: Katrina (Chris) Kimberly, Brianna Keinath, and Sarah (Chuko) Mendoza; two step-sisters:  Amanda (Darrel) Vore Jr. and Brandie (Bob) Slottke; one brother:   Dustin (Kaelee) Keinath; one step-brother:  Shawn Currier; mother-in-law:  Darlene Bassie (Robert VanDiver); many nieces and nephews; aunt:  Julie Pierce,                                                           and Uncle Michael Keinath.

Friends may gather on Friday; July 30, 2021, from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at Merkle Funeral Service, Dundee; 297 Tecumseh Street, Dundee, Michigan 48131 (734) 529-3156.   A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 5:00pm also at Merkle’s.
