Obituary of Linnie Francis Clawson
Linnie Francis Bussell was born in Monroe, Michigan on October 13, 1942. She was one of four daughters born from the union of James and Anna (Sutton) Bussell. Linnie attended Monroe High School.
On May 3, 1961, she wed Darrell Clawson at his parents’ home. They were married for fifty-seven years. They were blessed with three children of their own: and played a huge part in raising a nephew. Linnie was employed by Magnum Electric for a short time, however taking care of her home and family was her life’s work.
Linnie loved playing all manner of games and frequently hosted family game nights. Together, they would play board games, dominos, cards – especially euchre, and trivia. She enjoyed the challenge of putting together jigsaw puzzles and completing crosswords. Linnie spent many hours in front of the computer playing PC Adventure games. She tried her luck at bingo and at the local casino and had the opportunity to visit Las Vegas for her granddaughter’s wedding.
Linnie expressed her creativity through oil painting, drawing, and writing poetry. Linnie did not wait for a special occasion to dance to her favorite 1950’s era music. She was always calm and had a very loving demeanor. Anyone who was fortunate enough to have met her, certainly never forgot her and the sentiment was mutual, as Linnie prayed daily for absolutely everyone.
