Obituary of Marguerite Inez Gozdowski

Marguerite Inez Newby was born on February 1, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan. She is one of two children born from the union of Willard B. and Anna (Bryant) Newby. She would attend and graduate from Monroe High School, Monroe.  She would continue her education by enrolling in a few courses at the University of Toledo, Ohio. Marguerite was gainfully employed as an Information Technologist with the Lazy Boy Furniture Company where she would install and maintain their computer network programs.

Marguerite cherished spending time with her family and friends. She could frequently be found at the movie theater in Monroe catching the latest release. She enjoyed shopping or dining at local restaurants with her daughter and her family.

Marguerite Inez Gozdowski, age 72 of Monroe, passed away on Friday June 18, 2021, at 9:03am. In addition to her passing, she is preceded by her parents.

To treasure her memory Marguerite leaves her daughter, Kymberli (Fred Jr.) Ploeger; three grandchildren: Alexanndrea, Frederick III, and Benton; and one bother: Willard E. Newby.

Private services were provided by Merkle Funeral Service; South Monroe, 14567 South Dixie Highway, Monroe, Michigan 48161 (734) 241-7070. Interment took place at Woodland Cemetery in Monroe.
