Obituary of Gary Joe Cole
Gary Joe Cole was born on April 4, 1970, in Trenton, Michigan. As a child, he shared a home with nine other siblings. Gary would be blessed with the birth of four daughters. His girls would be his ultimate pride and joy. He often would say that God kept him alive for the sake of his girls. Gary treasured taking his daughters on adventures. Most of these excursions would be very spontaneous, which gave the girls some anxiety especially if Gary did not tell them where they were going or if he did not have reservations anywhere. All these outings produced a good, memorable time and many laughs shared. It was important to Gary to share these times with his daughters as he did not experience them with his parents.
Known as “Big Papa” by those who truly loved him, Gary is known for always answering his phone. He will also be remembered for being a very generous man. If he were ever called upon for help, he would do what he could to assist the person in need, no matter what. On occasion, Gary would secretly purchase the meal of an elderly person when dining at a restaurant.
Gary was happy with the simplest of things. The smallest, most inexpensive items brought him much joy like the rings he often wore. Gary never met a stranger, and he would hold conversation with anyone near him, who would engage in a discussion. In fact, he seemed to always know someone no matter where he went.
