Alden Wayne Lesage was born on June 13, 1956, in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada.   He was one of ten children born from the union of the late Roland Augustine Orville Joseph Lesage and Lorena (Vance) DeBruyne.  As a child, Alden, began his lifelong love for ice hockey participating in league play in Wawa, Canada.   Even into his adult years he continued to lace up his skates every chance he could.   When he wasn’t playing himself, Alden, took great joy in watching games in person and on television.

On June 24, 1983, Alden, married the former, Linda Lee McKinney, in Toledo, Ohio.  The couple would be blessed with four children and make their home in Luna Pier, Michigan.   Alden was an excellent provider for his family working countless hours to provide his children with all they needed.   He was employed as a Mixer Driver for Messina Concrete Company for twenty-four years before retiring in 2010.

Alden was a constant in the lives of his children.   He was active with the Boy Scouts often providing transportation to different events.   He was quite proud of his Canadian and Native American heritage.   Alden felt most at peace when he was in the great outdoors and often would intentionally attempt to get lost in the woods.   Family trips to Garden River, Echo Bay and Sault Ste Marie were treasured destinations for all of those in attendance many times seeing bear, elk, and moose in their natural habitats.   Alden especially enjoyed taking his children fishing.  After retirement, the Lesage family, created a yearly tradition of obtaining Cedar Point season passes where they would form a plethora of new memories together.
