Obituary of Charles Mark Bondarchuk

Charles Mark Bondarchuk was born on August 1, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan.   He was one of five children born from the union of the late Philip and Tommie Lee (Pitts) Bondarchuk.   During his younger years, Charles played baseball and ran track for Seitz Junior High School in Riverview, Michigan.  He later would graduate from Riverview High School.

Charles attended college in Sault Ste. Marie, working hard to obtain his Associates Degree.  He then spent four years as a Lab Tech employed by Great Lakes Steel until his retirement in 1974.

Watching the original Star Trek movie never got old for Charles.  He loved sports but he really enjoyed music and listening to his favorite songs: “Howard Christman’s Older" by Collectors and “Mull of Kintyre” by Paul McCartney and WINGS.  His love for music was often heard from his favorite artists:  The Beatles, Donavan Leitch, The Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, and the Bee Gees.  Throughout the years, he had a lot of fun attending numerous concerts with his brother.

Charles was a kind, generous, and merciful man.   He was willing to lend a hand to anybody in need.   He wasn’t one to judge and was always quick to understand.
