Obituary of Keary Lynn Asher
Keary Lynn Asher, age 55, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 after a valiant battle with cancer. Born in Harlan, Kentucky Keary moved to Monroe, MI during her middle school years. She remained a resident of Monroe County until her death. As a business-owner and philanthropist, Keary will be remembered by many for the impact she made on other’s lives.
Keary leaves behind family and friends who will remember her for her generous and caring nature. She possessed a charm that permeated every room she walked in, and always had an inspirational word to give. Keary was strong in her faith and brought the light of the Lord with her wherever she went, making sure all who met her also met Jesus.
Keary’s legacy lives on through her daughter, Jordan Asher; her grandson, Noah Tremblay; her parents, Joe Neal and Barbara Asher; her brother, Joe Asher; her sister-in-law, Suzi Morrison English; her niece, Shelbi Asher; and her great niece, Sophia Asher-Patrias; as well as many other relatives and close friends who will continue to spread the kindness and compassion that Keary exuded in life.
A Celebration of Life for Keary will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Monroe Full Gospel Church: 5337 E Albain Rd., Monroe, MI 48161. The service portion of this Celebration will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by an open house from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in which all are welcome to come and celebrate the shining light that was Keary Asher. Because this remembrance is being treated as a joyous occasion, the family encourages those who wish to attend to step away from the traditional black dress code that would normally accompany a funeral. Keary’s wishes were that her service would be a happy and fun-filled event.
Guests are asked to bring a small dish to pass and are also asked to donate to any of Keary’s favorite charities in lieu of flowers. These charities include St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
