Obituary of Rosie Cotes

Rosalee Ruth Parker was born in Lennon, Michigan on June 8, 1938. She was one of nine children born to the union of Aubrey Burk and Ruth Leona Parker. On May 8, 1966 she wed Warren Jack Cotes Jr. in Cohoctah, Michigan. They would be blessed with two sons and enjoy fifty four years of marriage.

Together with her husband, Rosie moved often to explore different areas of the country. She loved horses and volunteered her time cleaning stalls and prepping the horses for races at Quad City Downs in Illinois. A devoted homemaker, Rosie loved her family more than anything else. She doted on her grandchildren, especially Kaylon, whom she affectionately referred to as her “baby”.

Rosalee Ruth Parker, age 82, of Howell, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 14, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son: Luke Emery Cotes, brothers: Maynard and George, and sisters: Lulubell, Fern, Hazel, and Ruby.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband: Warren Jack Cotes Jr., son: Warren (Rachel) Cotes, sisters: Hubertine and Linda, granddaughter: Sandi, great grandchildren: Kaylon, Kylie, and Skyler, and many additional family members.
