Obituary of Bertie Perry
Alberta Ethel Bolster was born on May 13, 1930, at home in Dundee. She was the youngest of twelve children born to the union of Daniel and Goldia Mae (Bowman) Bolster.
Alberta wed the love of her life, George Wesley Perry, on June 26, 1948 at Deerfield Methodist Church. Affectionately known as “Bertie”, a name given to her by her husband, Alberta and George enjoyed sixty-seven years of wedded bliss and were blessed with two sons and one daughter.
A devoted homemaker, Bertie loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. Alongside her husband, she enjoyed yard work and took great pride in her home. Their flower garden, dense with roses and impatiens, wrapped all around the perimeter of their house and even extended to the homes of her son and daughter. “Snowbirds”, Bertie and George made an annual trek to Florida to soak in the sun. Bertie enjoyed trying her luck at bingo and scratch-off lottery tickets and would never turn down an opportunity to play a game of cards, Sequence, Bunco, or Mexican Train dominos.
Alberta Ethel Perry, age 90, of Dundee, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 12, 2021. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son: Michael Perry, grandson: Brandon Perry, seven sisters, and four brothers.
