Obituary of Darrell Scott Wylie
Darrell Scott Wylie was born on December 23, 1967 in Monroe, Michigan to the union of Thomas and Shirley (Rice) Wylie Sr. He attended Monroe High School and was most recently employed as a hi-lo driver for Bektrom Foods.
Darrell built BMX bicycles and rode them everywhere, all year round. He sometimes stopped to cast his fishing pole along the Riverwalk and at Sterling State Park. Darrell enjoyed listening to music so much that he always had to have the radio on. He attended many concerts over the years, including the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Metallica, Ozzy Osborne, Van Halen, and numerous country artists. As a collector of oddities, Darrell had an appreciation for anything peculiar and enjoyed watching “Pawn Stars” and “American Pickers” to see what unique items would be featured. An avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan, he also collected diecast race cars. Darrell met Paula Liedel in High School and were blessed with their son Brandon. Darrell and his son loved to challenge one another to a game of chess. A kid at heart, Frogger was his favorite Playstation game. More than anything else, he delighted in aggravating his nieces and nephews, who would inevitably come back for more.
