Obituary of Dave Rhodes
Dwight D. Rhodes was born on November 30, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio. After high school graduation, Dave would enlist in the Air Force. He would proudly serve our great nation during the Vietnam War and earn several service medals while doing so and after serving for twenty years, he would retire from active duty. After retiring from the military, Dave would achieve his bachelor’s degree in Nursing. He would then take employment as a Nurse at Mercy Memorial Hospital, where he would remain until he retired, carrying the title as the Director of Cardiovascular.
Dave loved spending time with his grandchildren so much he traveled to Florida during the summer months, when they were out of school to maximize his time with them. Dusty would often travel to Tennessee to watch his grandson Cory play for the King University baseball team. He was also especially proud of his grandson Brent for his service in the Army.
Dave enjoyed singing and listening to Praise songs. He especially looked forward to watching the Ohio State University against the University of Michigan football game with his daughter as they rooted for opposite teams.
The family would like to thank Joan and John Goble who took in and cared for Dave for a time. It was during his time with them Dave was his happiest. Also, a thanks to Freddie Hanmore for her daily prayers and bible verses, which were often encouraging to the family and greatly appreciated.
