Larry jr and I spent countless hours together in the woods pursuing wild game in our teenage years. Lots of great memories. After many successful hunts together Larry jr asked me if I had ever been rabbit hunting to which I replied I had not. Larry jr then told me that Larry sr loved to rabbit hunt and wanted to take us rabbit hunting which I thought was cool since my dad was not a hunter. Sr took us to the Point Mouillee state game area where we traversed through thickets for what felt like miles and miles. We never busted any that trip but it was the first I had been rabbit hunting and the first I had been to Pt Mouillee so it was a good hunt in my book. Looking back one may have considered me to be a hyperactive teenager and at that time I should have been conditioned for such a hunt but I got my butt kicked that day. Sr didn’t even look winded, I was impressed. Sr took jr and I rabbit hunting a number of times after that day, some days we did good, some days it was merely a nice brisk walk on a cold winters day. Honestly I’m not sure I ever harvested a rabbit on those trips as I was too slow on the draw. Sr and jr on the other hand were naturals busting them as soon as they took to their escape routes. Regardless I really enjoyed each of the hunts I shared with jr and sr. Both jr and sr share the same level of passion for the outdoors that I have which is why we all got along so well. Anytime jr and I went hunting without sr, jr would call senior with an update on our success that day. Thanks for taking me hunting senior, lots of good memories that I will never forget. RIP sir.

Larry Sr. was my father in-law; he was always very kind to me and I had hoped to see him again before God took him home. Either way, I know I will see him again in Haven.

Lawrence John Digue Senior was my grandfather. He was a loving and caring man who had a great passion for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. After every hunt that my father and I would partake in, we would always immediately call Grandpa and tell him the stories of what happened. When he first came to hunt on our property in North Carolina, I will never forget how happy and ecstatic he was over harvesting his first North Carolina buck. Grandpa will always be loved and cherished in the hearts and minds of his family, he will forever be remembered.
