John and I worked together at Jones transfer for several years what a great guy and a very hard worker. I’m glad he stopped by and visited a couple years ago. It was great to see him, because since we have retired I haven’t had a chance to Keep up with the guys. I feel honored to have known him! My condolences to his family. Great memories of JW such as #1. Talking to me about returning to church and not worring about what ppl.think or say.He said,do you want to hear,Gods word or the people word.? A great mentor that was straight from the hip.We had some arguements playing on the same ball team,both being icons county wide and both hated to lose.( Hot headed,both at times) lol .Rest in heaven my Christian brother.

I met John in 1987 when he came in to see his wife Kay at Monroe County Community Credit Union. When I moved into the neighborhood, he and his marvelous wife Kay were the people I wanted my kids to meet, so they would know someone amazing down the street. John was always friendly to everyone he met. He helped me more than once since living close by. I will miss his big red truck beeping at me as he drove past my house. My thoughts are with his family at this time.
