Obituary of Luke Perron VanHuysen
Luke Perron VanHuysen was born on July 11, 2002 in Monroe, Michigan to Susan (Borton) VanHuysen and Brett VanHuysen. He graduated from Riverside Academy in Dundee with the Class of 2020. Luke was very athletic and enjoyed both playing and watching sports. He had been a member of the golf, football and basketball teams at his school. Luke continued to root for the Ohio State Buckeyes despite the razzing he received from friends and family who supported their rivels to the North. He also enjoyed spending the day at the golf course or playing X-box video games with his brothers.
Luke was already well traveled at a young age, having visited Venezuela, Mexico, and Bermuda as well as Florida and South Carolina stateside. He had aspirations to continue his travels around the Globe. Luke had a charismatic personality and was a constant source of laughter and he would always greet everyone with a wave, smile and a hug. He had nicknames for everyone – including his niece “sweet girl” and his nephew “little buddy”. More than anything else, Luke enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his girlfriend, Becca Urban and best friend, Bryce Smith.
