I have too many stories to tell. 30 yrs as being our softball coach he was such a kind loving man to his family and everyone. He would coach 3rd base and just stand there and smile that cute smile when we rounded 2nd yelling weaain't going any farther. Lynda Mikie and I had a rule. After we turned 40 we only had to go one base at a time unless we wanted to. He just smiles and chuckled

I don't think there was ever a time your dad didn't have a smile on his face. Watching him ride that lawn mower while dragging the baseball fields was always so funny. He sat straight up and just smiled while working the fields. He loved baseball! Baseball and the fair will not be the same without his smiling face. Our prayers and condolences to your family....definitely gone too soon.

David, only occasionally do people meet truly great human beings. You are that to me and to so many others. You were always going out of your way to help anyone who needed it and I, along with them will never forget your gentleness and kindness. Today is very sad day for us still on earth but it is a joyous day for your friends in heaven. I will never forget you true friend. Karen

Dave was a great guy! Last time I spoke with him he had a big smile on his face talking about his boys playing in the fair tournament 20 years ago and telling stories about both Dave and Lynda coaching the girls teams at the fair. You could tell those were special memories to Dave and that he was proud of his family. Dave will be missed by many.
