Robert Marcoff Jr.

Obituary of Robert M Marcoff Jr.

Robert M. Marcoff, Jr. was born in Monroe on January 10, 1963.   Born from the union of Robert Molina Marcoff and Eileen Ruby (Meyers) Marcoff Farris.   From the age of two, he would be raised by his stepfather:  Duane Martin Farris, in a home with five other siblings.   Robert graduated from Monroe High School with the Class of 1981.

He would take employment in the construction industry working as a laborer and mason as a member of Local #499.   Unfortunately, Robert had to medically retire in 2013.

As a young man, Robert, was a BMX racer.   He continued his love of bicycling as he aged although his workouts became a little less intense.   Later in life, he became well known around town as “Bicycle Bob”, as he enjoyed building and fixing bicycles for the neighborhood children.

Robert made his home near the River Raisin.   He was quite fond of his location since it afforded easy fishing whenever he wanted.   His dream, however, was to have a camper to bring his love of fishing and family together when he was away from home.

In his down time, Robert loved watching TV Land shows; especially Sanford & Son and Andy Griffith. Even though his local sports teams had not provided much to cheer about recently, Robert, was an ardent supporter of the Detroit Lions, Pistons, and Red Wings.   Robert also loved music, and one of his favorite activities was hosting family and friends on weekends for Karaoke gatherings.   He would never miss an opportunity to belt out “Kiss” by Prince.   Although, Robert had a passion for all animals, he was especially fond of Pitbull dogs.

Robert M. Marcoff, Jr., age 57, of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, June 5, 2020.   In addition to his passing, he was preceded by his mother: Eileen Farris;  his father: Duane Martin Farris and one sister: Tammy Novak.

To cherish his memory, Robert leaves his loving children: Ashley Marcoff and Robert Marcoff both of Monroe; his parents; four siblings: Floyd “Butch” (Debbie) Lyons, Vickie Flynn, Kimberly Marcoff, and Duane Martin “Marty” (Michelle) Farris; twenty-two nieces and nephews; a special cousin and friend: “Bub” Marlow; and his Pitbull grand dog: Bruno.

Due to current physical distancing restrictions, no public services are planned at this time.   Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734)384-5185 has been entrusted with his arrangements.
