Obituary of Donny Ellis Norvell
Donny Ellis Norvell was born in Leon, Oklahoma on August 13, 1948. He was one of four children born from the union of the late Perry Ellis Norvell and the late Maudie Marie (Glenn) Norvell.
For many years, Donny, operated a “Big Rig”. He loved driving truck and appreciated the freedom it provided and the opportunities it afforded to see the country. Donny would be blessed with the birth of a daughter: Shelly. The two had an extremely special bond. They stayed in touch, as Donny, would often check in to chat, even when he was on the open road. Donny worked for J & B until they closed their doors and went out of business. He would then spend time as an operator for TMI in Taylor, Michigan. One of Donny’s favorite pastimes was talking on the CB radio whenever he was driving his truck.
Donny’s love for driving extended to his personal life as well. He enjoyed cruising and taking trips in his red, Chevrolet Silverado. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycles, feeling the wind in his hair and the sun on his face. As a young man, Donny, had spent countless hours on the water. He loved to visit the hot hole near the Fermi II Nuclear Power Plant to fish, tube, and just enjoy the independence that boating provided. The last few months, Donny, had shared his life with Rachel James.
