Obituary of John R. Pietrowski

John R. Pietrowski, 76, of Dundee, Michigan passed away on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 at WellBridge of Pinckney. He was born in Romulus, Michigan August 7, 1941 the son of Joseph and Adelle (Ryznar) Pietrowski. He graduated from Milan High School in 1959, started working then for GM Willow Run Plant where he was employed as an electrician for 30 years. He retired in 1989. He married Maryann Brososky August 12, 1961 at St. Irene Catholic Church in Dundee. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 2011. He was active in FFA and 4-H. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting and fishing. He was also a master gardener, was active in the Monroe County Fair and was a family man who loved spending time with his family, children and grandchildren. He and his brother Phil recently rebuilt an antique pick up truck together. His survivors include his wife Maryann; 2 daughters Laura (David) Levitan of Pensacola, Florida and Michelle (Steven) Kapeller of Pinckney; grandchildren Lydia, Liza and Ryan; brothers Joe, Pete (Patti) and Phil (Teresa). Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass at 11 AM, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Ida, Michigan. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the church.
