I have known Liz for a long time. I have not been a member of the family since 1996, But whenever she saw me I got a hug, she never treated me different. Always like family. Thanks to the Lord, he has her know.

Aunt Lizzie, You had no idea how much I loved you. I had no idea how much you loved me! But that all changed when I moved to Michigan and had more time with you. God gave me two blessed events after moving here that I will never forget: Two summers ago on the hottest day of the summer, Woody, Jean, and Judy came to visit me in Saint Joseph, and they brought YOU!!!!!!! I was so thrilled that you made the effort to ride the 3 hours over, as you would seldom go out with your walker. Not only did we all ,with Keith included, have a great lunch at Clementines, but once we drove down to Silver Beach on Lake Michigan, you asked for your walker, got out of the car, and posed for pictures!!!!!! I am so grateful for those pictures because they captured your beauty, your love for life, and your determination to enjoy life despite your disabilities! Judy, Jean and I complained and complained about the heat, but you did not complain. You made me feel like I was your most important niece in our family. That day has been played out hundreds of times in my memory. I was so very proud to be your niece and felt so loved that you made the difficult trip to see me. The day of the other blessing was when we had the reunion recently and you asked me to sit by your wheelchair ALL DAY LONG and I was able to ask you every question that I wanted to know and your memory was so beautifully clear as we walked down memory lane. I will never forget your laughter as I told you stories unknown to you when my parents and we kids moved to Monroe and I to your house as my Dad tried to find work. Oh, the mischief that your kids and all of us caused every day! You did not mind at all as we stripped the twin beds bare and made the beds into every conceivable object that we could!!!! But the one time that you and Uncle Sherman, and my Mom and Dadwere NOT happy was when we kids decided to put the dog down the laundry shoot and he got stuck!!!!!! As I reminded that story to you at the reunion, you practically cried from laughing so hard!!!!! :) But the real blessing that I witnessed was that every family member came to you, gave you hugs and kisses and told you out loud how much they loved you........ I was so moved by the love that every person, young or old, boy or girl showered upon you as you sat in your wheel chair for hours. All that I could think of was what it must feel like to have that kind of devotion, compassion and love from generations of your family. I will never forget that day, never, as my soul was so blessed being able to watch love. You loved all your life and you received love. What a glorious way to live! You had that Christ-like ability to make everyone feel loved and important. I am so very blessed that I had a piece of that big heart and now you are in Heaven and reuniting with all that you loved. " I THANK MY GOD UPON EVERY REMEMBRANCE OF YOU." ~Phillippians 1:3~ Love Eternal, Brenda Kay Tuttle Sanders
