Obituary of Stephanie Ann Rafko

Stephanie Rafko was born in Garden City, Michigan on June 25, 1985. She was the daughter of Frank Rafko and the late Carol A (Feketija) Rafko. Stephanie is a 2003 graduate from Monroe High school and went on to receive her Cosmetology License in that same year. She enjoyed her employment as a Cosmetologist and proudly supported her children as a single parent. Stephanie met the love of her life, Larry Burss. She loves her Lord and Savior and together, they received their spiritual nourishment at Northridge Church in Plymouth. Family was most important to Stephanie, always looking forward to the next barbeque or holiday gathering. Playing and doing activities with her children was the highlight of many of her days. Stephanie had a love for all genre of music and enjoyed singing karaoke with her beautiful voice. In her quiet time, she could be found keeping up with all her friends and family on Facebook. Stephanie Ann Rafko, age 31, of Taylor passed away at 10:20pm on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Oakwood Beaumont Hospital. After her passing, she gave hope to others as an organ donor through Gift of Life. In addition to her maternal grandparents: Thomas and Phyllis Fetetija and her mother, her passing was preceded by her step-mother: Beverly Rafko; and her aunt: Ann Feketija. To cherish her memory, Stephanie leaves the love of her life: Larry Burss of Taylor; her father Frank (Joan) Rafko of Monroe; paternal grandparents John and Donna Rafko; three children Morgan Brielle Revard, Madison Elaina Revard, and Collin Assenmacher; and a sister: Erica Rafko of Monroe. Friends may attend a Celebration of Her Life at 5:30pm on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 with Pastor David Jones of Northbrook Church officiating and fellowship will follow from 6:00pm until 8:00pm also a Merkle’s.
