Obituary of Kenneth Donald Presley
Kenneth Donald Presley was born on March 29, 1951 Detroit, Michigan. He was born from the union of Donald Presley and the late Joyce (Carpenter) Benner. Ken attended Plymouth Schools and moved to California at the age of seventeen where he raised his daughter. To be with extended family Ken moved to Monroe for six years in 2003, but his desire to be with his daughter led him back to the Northern Coast of California in 2009.
Ken supported himself employed as a Cab Driver, Drywall Finisher and Landscaper over the years, however; as a highly skilled craftsman, his passion for leather working led him to start his own business, River Hawk Leather.
Ken loved the outdoors and all that nature provided; mountains, rivers, lakes, trees, hawks, birds of prey and wolves. Ken valued the stories told, culture and way of life of Mountain Men and Native Americans.
As an avid fisherman, Ken would like to say, “Dad, thanks for teaching me how to fish.”
His big heart will be missed by many and his gentle spirit will live on inside of us. So when you see a Hawk in flight, take this gift of precious sight. Give thanks to God in Heaven above, the God of Grace, the God of Love…Len Presley
