January 3, 1968 – July 17, 2016 Cheryl Ann Boudrie was born on January 3, 1968 in Monroe. She was one of seven children born from the late Melvin Boudrie and Nancy Pickard. Cheryl attended St. Mary Catholic High School, met and married the love of her life, Kenneth Duvall on May 14, 1990 in Toledo. Cheryl was an optimist who encouraged others to “Go Get” whatever their heart desired including her own. As a wonderful grandmother, she absolutely adored her grandchildren and cherished time playing, coloring and caring for them. She had a great sense of humor, who will forever be remembered for making other laugh. Having an appreciation for the outdoors, Cheryl could be found landscaping, gardening, or just catching a bit of fresh air. She had a love for driving and often assisted her husband towing those in need. For years she enjoyed racing cars on the circle track. In her quiet time, Cheryl enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching her favorite television show, The Murry Povish Show. Although Cheryl endeavored years of suffering, her one wish, above all, was to walk again. Cheryl Ann Duvall, age 48, passed away after battling health issues at 4:48am on Sunday, July 17, 2016 surrounded by her loving family under the care of Greatlakes Hospice. In addition to her grandparents, Bernice and George Pickard Lloyd and Matillda Boudrie her passing was preceded by her father; three brothers: Thomas, John and Melvin Boudrie and one grandson: Caleb Williams. To cherish her memory she leaves her husband of twenty-seven years, Kenneth Sr.; five children: Ashley (Rick Vaugan) Sharpe of Temperance, Richard (Kaitlyn) Sharpe of Chesapeake, Virginia, Joshua (Amanda) Sharpe of Garden City, Kenneth Duvall Jr. of Monroe and Kevin (Sarah) Duvall of Chesapeake, Virginia; seventeen grandchildren: Casey Williams, Caden Sharpe, Donald McMullin, Delany McMullin, Maddlen Middleton, Brenton Sharpe, Triston Sharpe, Ellie Sharpe, Ryker Sharpe, Izayah Pouget, Alexus Pouget, Tyson Pouget, Destinee Duvall, Kenneth Duvall III, Hayley Duvall, Makenzie Duvall and Natalie Duvall; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe. A Celebration of Her Life will take place at 11:00am on Thursday, July 21, 2016 also at Merkle’s with Pastor Dan Sharpe Chaplain of Great Lakes Hospice officiating.
