We are so very sorry for your families loss. We feel as if we lost a family member as well. We loved Donald very much. He touched our lives in a very special way. I know that Davy will miss him very much. It was difficult telling him that his other "brother" has gone home to be with the Lord. He will be very missed. Please know you are in our thoughts and our prayers. The Scherz / Chew family

Gods speed Donald you will be missed. I got to know Donald about 11 years ago when he was a resident a Village Pines of Monroe. I work maintenance there and Donald was my friend. He would stop by and see us at the maintenance garage he was always a joy and always happy and smiling. He did so love the fair i remember i saw him there one year and he made it a point to come and talk to me. He also liked the fair parade very much. We all at Village pines bid you gods speed Donald you will be forever with us in our hearts. Jim Townsend maintenance, Village Pines Apts.

I have missed Donald a lot in the past few years. Coming from a farming family also, any time I got to job coach Donald, I would listen to his stories of the family farm. I went to school in Dundee and the family farm was out in Maybee, he told me stories and I would tell him some of my family. Different times of the summer months he would come up to me and ask how the farming was coming along. I missed that once I no longer worked with Donald. He was a great joy to share farm stories with. I have often wondered how he was doing. Donald would come to mind every time I was on a tractor of some kind. Don will me missed greatly. He held and will always hold a special place in my heart. From one farmer to another. Donald your in your glory now. You are now exploring a new life. Enjoy it. You sure do deserve it. Don was a wonderful person to be around. He shared happiness with every one he talked with.

i know jack has lots of Don stories and memories, I was honored to have known him, a very remarkable man who loved deviled eggs and macaroni and cheese. The family has changed so much in these past few years, so many have graduated to live with the lord......till we all meet again
