Obituary of Michael MacNeil

Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Michael Allen MacNeil was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 26, 1947. He was one of six children born from the union of the late Murdoch MacNeil and the late Theresa (Corrigan) MacNeil. He attended Western High School in Detroit and graduated in 1965. Michael married the love of his life the former Jackie Durham on October 19, 1968 in Dearborn, Michigan. From this union came the birth of three boys. For several years Michael worked as a construction laborer. However, he was forced to take a medical retirement many years ago. Michael was extremely proud of his three boys and later in life found the joy in having thirteen grandchildren which he became very fond of. He had a great sense of humor and was the family's practical joker through and through. Michael enjoyed watching Western movies and was a big fan of "The Bowery Boys" and "Gunsmoke". He also appreciated the humor of "The Three Stooges". Michael was an avid card player, and he liked old cars. He had a beautiful voice and he could often be heard singing along to the Oldies, his favorite music. Michael Allen MacNeil age 63 of Newport passed away at 4:08pm Friday afternoon, May 27, 2011 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.
