Wayne Edward Lochner was born on April 28, 1954, in Monroe, Michigan. He was born to the union of Robert Lochner and Mary Lou (Roberts) Lochner.
On March 19, 1976, Wayne married the love of his life, Linda Copi. Together, they created a warm and loving home, welcoming two children who brought them immense joy. The couple shared many happy moments, including memorable days spent watching the Tigers play, a pastime they both cherished.
Wayne was a dedicated family man who delighted in spending time with his granddaughters, creating memories filled with laughter and love. He took great pride in his lawn, ensuring it was a beautiful and welcoming space for family gatherings and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. He also had a deep appreciation for the colors of fall, finding joy in the vibrant hues that marked the changing seasons.
Wayne Edward Lochner, aged 70, of Monroe passed away peacefully on Thursday; November 7, 2024, at University Hospitals in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His passing was preceded by his parents: Robert and Mary and two brothers: Keith and Glenn Lochner. Wayne will be remembered for his kindness, love for family, and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures.
To cherish his memory, Wayne leaves his devoted wife: Linda; two children: Brian Lochner and Karen Lochner (Jake Horen); granddaughters: Hailey U'ran and Kelly Stoddard; siblings: Janet (Doug) Hill, David (Jeanne) Lochner; sister-in-law: Doris Lochner; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends may gather from 1:00pm until 6:00pm on Wednesday; November 13, 2024, at Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held at 6:00pm, also at Merkle’s with Pastor BJ McDaniel officiating. Cremation will take place through Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan, a division of Merkle Enterprises, Inc.
