Obituary of Anna Marie Aldridge

Please share a memory of Anna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Anna Marie Aldridge was born in Norfolk, Virginia on September 18, 1977. She was born to Thomas Stamback and Susan Kiger. She was later blessed with a stepfather, Donald Clark. Anna married her childhood sweetheart Tommy Aldridge, and they were blessed with 6 children: Danyel Stamback, Christopher Stamback, MeShawn Aldridge, Amariah Stamback, Ariel Stamback, and Dakaden Aldridge.

Anna took a position with Red Lobster. There she dedicated twenty-seven years of her life and during that time Anna received many awards for culinary expertise which brought her so much joy. Anna was known for her hard work and friendly demeanor; she created a warm and welcoming environment for both her co-workers and her customers. Later in her career, she took her talents to Popeyes, where her reputation for reliability and warmth continued to shine.

Anna was dependable, not just for her employers but more importantly, always there for her family and friends. Her home was open to children from all walks of life, and she became affectionately known as "Ma" to many. Anna had an enormous heart, which projected love and care to anyone who came through her door. Her mantra, “I love you to the moon and back,” became a testament of affection for those around her. Family was the center of Anna’s universe.  She cherished every moment spent with her 4 grandchildren: Ellianna, Jay'Viana, Jordyn and Jasmyn.

In her free time, she enjoyed hanging out with family and friends, hosting cookouts, listening to old school R&B music, going to the beach, engaging in all types of board games especially her go-to card game, Rummy. She loved to relax to her favorite movies and shows. Anna had a special love for cats, white tigers, Betty Boop and also a fan of the Detroit Lions. Anna found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She exuded joy and laughter, especially during karaoke sessions. Although her singing might not have been pitch-perfect, Anna performed with the heart of a superstar, bringing smiles to everyone’s faces.
