Richie was my first friend when we moved into the neighborhood in the late 60’s. Our 6th grade teacher assigned Richie to show me everything at school and our friendship began . We did live two houses away behind the ball fields at Lapham. We spent years together playing every sport with the neighborhood guys labeled LAPHAM U . He was one of the toughest as no matter what was happening Richie never gave up. Later in life we saw each other twice a year, tax time and to celebrate birthdays along with Teresa Beres as our birthdays were very close together . Miss them days .

Dennis and I met Richie through his brother Bill. We met in Erieau, Canada. We all became friends immediately! Richie was so kind and thoughtful. He loved fishing and eating the fish he caught! He loved having Barb cook the fish! We always had a great time together! Talk about his love for cutting wood! He made sure that Dennis and I and Al and Nicole and our friends had plenty of wood at our campsites each summer!! Our friends considered him to be a very special guy! His big heart and great sense of humor will be missed!

Q: What will you miss most about Richard?
A: Our fun times hanging put in high school. Rich, Gary and Bob. All four of us hung out at my house or went out every weekend. Rich worked with my dad at Ford Motor Co also. Graduated 50 years ago this year. Still remember all those fun times. May he rest in peace. My sympathy to his children, grandchildren and family
