Obituary of Robin Lee Long

Please share a memory of Robin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Robin Lee Cwiklak was born on April 26,1963 in Toledo, Ohio. She was one of two daughters born to the union of John and Annette (Campbell) Cwiklak. Robin attended Woodward High School in Toledo, graduating with the class of 1981. She furthered her education by attending Stautzenberger College receiving her associate degree as an Administrative Assistant.

Robin and her former husband, Steven Long were blessed with a beautiful daughter: Tiffany.  To help provide for her family, Robin worked more than fifteen years as a secretary for the State of Ohio & Michigan in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) office.  She took a medical retirement in 2004.

Growing up, Robin was always around racing whether she was watching her father build race cars or watching her husband race motorcycles at Milan Dragway. Robin was exceptionally pleased when both of her grandsons decided to race junior dragsters and carry on the family racing tradition. She was utterly thrilled when given the opportunity to watch her grandchildren race. When Robin wasn’t spending time at the drag strip, she enjoyed tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. She also enjoyed being in the kitchen baking one of her delicious chocolate pies or chocolate chip cookies. Robin was a very caring, loving, and giving woman. Although she didn’t have much, she was always the first person to help someone else in need. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and her grandsons who were the light of her life.

Robin Lee Long, age 61 or Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at her home. Her passing was preceded by her parents: John and Annette Cwiklak.

To cherish Robin’s memory, she leaves her daughter: Tiffany (Joseph) Novak Jr. of Monroe; a sister: Wendy Cwiklak of Toledo, Ohio; and two grandsons: Peyton and Parker Novak.
