Chip and Mike are some of our favorite regulars at Paul’s Pub in Johannesburg Mi. He was just such a witty, funny guy that could brighten anyone’s day. His harmless pranks and just good natured ribbing was always appreciated. I’ve only known him for maybe 8 years but he made ppl instantly feel like they had known him forever. Rest in peace Chip! Condolences to everyone thst knew him❤️

I am so saddened to hear of this. Chip was a great friend to all of us. Brian Jennings, Roger Marks, David Betley, and I would play basketball during the summer when we were in high school and also hockey in the winter on Brian’s pond. We were all friends since we were the youngest of people from Kindergarten and beyond. I played baseball, football, and basketball with Chip and what a competitor he was. There was seldom a moment that we didn’t look to Chip to say something funny and lighten our lives for an instance but when you stack all those together it becomes a lifetime and that’s why it’s so very sad to lose him. My condolences to his entire family especially his mom and dad who were always so nice to all of us. Our times playing hockey together will also be dearly missed. Bye good friend for now.

Emmett and Veda loved going down the street to visit with Chip and Carrie. I often thought my word these kids are going to make them nuts because every time we were out for a bike ride or a walk, their first question would be if they could stop and say hi. But that was never the case. Chip always had a smile on his face and treated them with such kindness and respect; listened to endless babble about the newest video game or gymnastics event. I think he also helped fill a void for Andy. Andy would often talk about how amazing he was and how unfortunate it was we hadn’t connected prior to last summer. The Clarks will miss you greatly, Chip. Carrie, we are here for you, day or night. Truly.
Sending you love and light.
Andy, Kimmie, Emmett, & Veda Clark

My sincere condolences to Chip’s family. I remember Chip in high school and what funny and sweet guy he was. I remember getting a ride home from school with him and his parents getting McDonald’s French fries and making a phone call from his dads car phone to my parents. This was the first time I ever knew about “car phones”. It was a special memory. I was so sorry to hear about his passing.
